Chicago Integrative Psychotherapy
My therapeutic process evolves based on your unique needs. Sometimes it is necessary to navigate crises, other times it is necessary to maintain well-being. It is my goal as a therapist to meet you where you are at and to provide you with with the tools to live the life that you are wanting to live.
I use my clinical background to help you make choices that will enable you to move your life in a direction that is meaningful. Together we will work to empower you to apply skills you learn in session to your daily life. I challenge you to grow, while making sure that you feel safe and supported to do so at your own pace.
I combine evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to give you a holistic and mindful toolkit. I believe that therapy benefits from following a clear roadmap. Early in our work together, I aim to establish treatment goals that give us direction and make our sessions productive. Reaching these goals doesn’t mean that our work together has to end, but they provide meaningful milestones to guide our progress.
My background working with adolescent youth in state custody, adults experiencing homelessness, and individuals with chronic illness has shaped my approach and has prepared me to work with a wide range of people. I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and adjustment to life with major illness.
